Living with Farm Dogs
Having dogs in farms has different considerations than having them in urban homes. The greatest hassle in living with a farm dog is the dirt and mud that it brings into the house after playing outside. To remedy this, it is ideal to provide a mud room near your main home entrance where dogs can clean themselves and where you can take the mud off your boots before entering the house. The mud room can also be used to wipe off dust during sunny days. It can also act as a place to groom your dog. Furthermore, grooming your pet regularly will reduce the amount of dirt it brings home and lower the risk of it getting sick.
