Throwing a Birthday Party for Your Dog
For most of us, our dogs are practically part of the family, so there is no reason why we should not celebrate their birthdays like we do with our human loved ones. If you adopted your dog and you do not know his or her birthday, you can simply choose to celebrate the date that your canine friend officially became part of the family.
Be realistic about the number of dogs and guests you can handle. Invite too many and you might find yourself overwhelmed. You can send invitations through e-mail or you can personally deliver them to friends. Invite dogs that your pet is already familiar with. This could be his or her regular playmates at the park, or dogs of your neighbours that he or she is already acquainted with. Bringing a new dog to the celebration might only cause a dog fight to break out — a real spoiler for your party.
Finally, the best place to hold a birthday party for your dog is outdoors, such as a park or even your own backyard. In this way, your dog and his or her canine friends can have plenty of space to run around and have fun.
